PearlDiver Technologies Adds Business Development Associate

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA (February 9, 2009)—PearlDiver Technologies Inc. announces the addition of Megan Young as business development associate. Based in Washington, D.C., Meg will support the efforts of the Business Development team while introducing PearlDiver’s work to key representatives of the public healthcare sector in the nation’s capital.

Located in Fort Wayne as of late 2006 and co-founded by brothers Robin and Benjamin Young (Meg is Ben’s daughter), PearlDiver is an emerging growth company and leader in the life sciences information industry.

Meg comes to PearlDiver with development experience gained from her work in Sichuan Province, China, as an Oxford’s World Leadership Corps Fellow and staff consultant for ECOLOGIA. In those roles, Meg coordinated stakeholders during the launch of the Ai Long Microfinance Unit in Qili Village and the Chengdu Corporate Social Responsibility Business Network. Meg graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College in 2007.

PearlDiver's existing 136 million patient record database combined with PubMed's 14 million clinical papers offers surgeons and other healthcare professionals unprecedented information resources and capabilities. All of PearlDiver's databases are searchable by ICD-9 diagnostic and procedure codes as well as CPT and DRG codes.

PearlDiver is available to surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the form of a widget or surgeon dashboard by subscription but at no charge from the PearlDiver web site.

With the PearlDiver tool healthcare professionals will obtain key insights into patient care decisions. Patient records are available from 2004-2007 and are sort-able by gender, age and for every known orthopedic diagnosis or procedure.
