PearlDiver's Database Now Includes PubMed's 14 Million Papers, Clinical Studies and Manuscripts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (March 6, 2008) – PearlDiver Technologies Inc., the virtual, electronic, integrated medical information and data, analytics and consulting system, announced today that the Company has included more than 14 million papers, clinical studies and manuscripts from PubMed to its search capability.

The addition of clinical study data to PearlDiver’s existing 116 million patient record database offers surgeons and other healthcare professionals unprecedented information resources and capabilities. As with PearlDiver’s patient record data, the PubMed data is also searchable by billing code (ICD-9 diagnostic and procedure codes as well as CPT codes).

Never before has this level of patient data and this many clinical papers been available in a single search and analysis tool. Furthermore, never before have medical researchers and clinicians been able to search these monumental databases using billing codes in the language of day-to-day medicine.

With the PearlDiver tool healthcare professionals will obtain key insights into patient care decisions. Patient records are available from 2004-2007 and are sortable by gender, age and for every known orthopedic diagnosis or procedure.
